The tutors can offer on/offline and one to one or group classes to students. Thousands of students visit TutorNearby.in every day and find tutors as per their requirements. TutorNearby never asks for any form of commission from students or tutors for their tutorial services. Students or tutors are not required to report to TutorNearby after getting tutoring services. Q6. After signup, how long will it take to start using the services?

After sign up, your account with TutorNearby will be ready instantly. As soon as you signup, you can login to your account and search for tutors, students, courses, course materials, etc. Thus, you can start using Tutor Nearby right away. To have the best result when others search for the criteria of your field of study or expertise, you have to make sure that you fill in all the columns wisely and choose all the suitable skills or subjects related to your profession or preference.

Q7. Is there any fee to become a Member?

There are two types of memberships to choose from: "Basic" and "Premium" memberships. The fee structures vary for students, tutors and institutes. The details can be found on the "Membership Options" page. The Basic Membership is absolutely and the Premium Membership is a paid one.

Q8. What is the difference between the types of memberships?

There are two types of memberships - "Basic" and "Premium". The contact details of the basic members will not be visible to public. On the other hand, the contact details of the premium members will be visible to public. Additionally, the Premium members can view the contact details of all the profiles in TutorNearby where as the Basic members can view the contact details of Premium members only. Therefore, the Premium members have the golden opportunity to contact and be contacted by others and so is the most popular option.

Q9. Are profiles censored? Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?

Yes. All member profiles are censored by our webmasters while they are originally created as well as when they are modified. We reserve full right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. Also, we strictly recommend that you do not enter any personal information in your profile, including, but not limited to: your home address, a personal beeper, cell or telephone number, a real e-mail address or personal web address. Any offenders of this rule will be banned from the site. Additionally, no registrant will be permitted to supplement any form of contact details anywhere other than specified spaces. Any content of contact details in unspecified space may be deleted by our webmasters without prior intimation.

It's easy. You may click on the 'Edit Profile' option and do the necessary changes and save it.

You just have to click on the 'email' option of the profile you are interested in and send the mail directly. However, if the member's (Student/Tutor/Institute) email ID is not visible to you, it may be because the profile user has not become a premium member. You can still get in touch with them by messaging us in the same way or by email with the registered ID and name of the profile holder and with your needs and your name and profile ID. We shall contact the profile user/s directly and will do the rest.

Q12. Can I hire a tutor from outside Kerala or India?

Of course, you can search and find a tutor for your teaching requirements from TutorNearby.

Q13. Can I register as both a Tutor and Student with same email ID?

Yes, and that's the exclusive feature of TutorNearby. An individual can be a Tutor and a Student at the same time. For eg; John who is a graduate in B.A. English Literature could be a tutor for English and he could also be a student searching for a Swimming or Computer instructor.

Yes, TutorNearby has a blog along with and all the posts on it will be shared on social media. You also can get in touch with the Basic members by emailing us with Tutors' or Institutes' Profile ID and Name. We will get in touch with the tutors/institutes and will do the rest.

Q3. How much is the tutoring fee to be paid?

It is completely dependent upon the tutor's choice. The fee is absolutely decided between the tutor and the student/parent. And TutorNearby will not be responsible for any settlement and terms and conditions between the tutor and the student.

Q4. Does TutorNearby charge any commission?

No.TutorNearby.in never asks for any commission from the tutors/institutes/students. All the fee structures should be decided between the tutors and students and be paid between them. Tutor Nearby is only an interlinking platform between the students and tutors/institutes.

Q5. How do I pay to the tutor/institute?

You can pay to the tutor/institute directly by DD, Online Transaction or Cash as per the demands by the tutor/institute.

Q6. Where does the tutoring take place?

It could be decided between the tutor and the student. This could be at tutor's home/office or at student's home or even online using audio/video calling facilities like Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, etc. This would completely rely upon the responsibility of the parents and tutors.

Q7. Which days and what time can I get tutorials?

The days and time schedules must be discussed between the tutor/trainer and the students/parents.

No. You can use the same profile to search and find any number of tutors, skill trainers or institutes in different subjects or skills of your choice.

Q13. How can I contact a tutor whose contact details are not displayed?

If you have a Premium membership you will be able to view the contact details of all members including Basic. And if both the student and tutor are Basic Members, you can either send message to the tutor by clicking on the 'Send Message' option which will reach TutorNearby's inbox. You still have another option of directly sending us an email with profile ID of the tutor and your ID. We will get in touch with the tutors/institutes and will do the rest.

Q14. Can tutors be interviewed before hiring them?

Definitely, if you think necessary. The date and venue shall be decided between the parent/institute and tutor. You also reserve the full right to verify the educational certificates of the tutors.

Students will search for tutors by using the 'Search Tutor' option and will contact you on the contact details provided by you. However, the contact details of the 'Premium Members' only will be displayed to the public. So, it is recommended to switch on to Premium Membership to be contacted by students.

Q2. Can I contact students?

Yes of course. You can contact any number of students on the contact details furnished by them. You can view the contact details of only the Premium Student Members. Furthermore if you are a Premium Member, you will be able to view and contact even Basic Student Members.

Q3. How will I get paid?

You will get paid by the students for tutoring them.

Q4. How can I receive payments / what is the mode of payment?

You can receive payments directly by cash, DD or Online Transaction from the students/parents.

Q5. How much do I get paid?

You are your own boss. You may decide your tutoring fee and discuss it with the students/parents. Moreover, TutorNearby will not be responsible for any settlement and terms and conditions between the tutor and the student.

No. Instead, you can contact the students and make an agreement (verbal/written) and start tutoring.

Of course. For this you need to apply for the upcoming trainings session well in advance. The seats will be booked in the first come first served manner.
